Professor of Human Geography at St. Andrews University
As part of a wider programme of expansion within the School of Geography
and Geosciences, applications are invited for the position of Professor in
Human Geography. The appointee will be expected to have an exceptional
research record of international standing. Applications are invited from
candidates with research interests in all areas of Human Geography, but
preference may be given to those with expertise in health/medical
geography. The successful candidate will be required to conduct advanced
research in his/her area of expertise and develop a specialist research
group within the School.
Present Human Geography research interests in the School include:
health/medical geography, housing and population studies, economic
geography of Europe, development and gender, and colonial and post-colonial
geographies.
The position will be tenable from the summer of 1999 or as soon as possible
