What you describe of course is a perfect case for using Nud.ist. What I
doubt is that you can get a group of people who are not very experienced in
using computers to learn Nud.ist so quickly that they can effectivly and
efficiently use it. This was the second main problem after the 3.1 problem.
Of course you may object, but one should not forget that others might find
something very difficult what others find very easy because they have lived
and worked with it for a number of years.
