Hi, so would I.
In my area there are several large parcels of land that were granted or
owned by various monastic houses. eg Fountains, Furness, Cockersand,
Sawley and more.
The landscape of Upper Ribblesdale and the NE area of Lunesdale contains a
wealth of undated and unresearched settlement, farm sites, field systems
etc, that in my opinion date from the monastic period and form an important
record of land management of the areas from the 12th to the mid 16thc.
I hope to make a start on these just as soon as I have finished my work on
Waterpowered Industry and coalmining in Lunesdale, so I am now collating
and open to info and discussion.
