PRELIMINARY INFORMATION AND CALL FOR PAPERS
The 1999 Eurographics UK Conference is being held at Fitzwilliam
College Cambridge from 13-15 April 1999.
Conference Information
----------------------
The conference begins with a day of tutorials and workshops relating
to the conference themes. The second and third days will be devoted to
a mixture of presentations; invited talks from keynote speakers,
refereed papers and shorter talks on work in progress.
The keynote speakers are:
* Alvy Ray Smith, Microsoft Graphics Fellow (Provisional title:
'Steps Toward Digital Convergence: The Single Creative App')
* William Newman, Xerox Research Centre Europe
* Crispin Gay, Cadcentre Group Chief Executive (Provisional title:
'From Vision to Reality - 10 years of Virtual Engineering')
The local organiser is Neil Dodgson of the Computer Laboratory,

Call for Papers
---------------
We welcome submissions on any aspects of Computer Graphics and its
applications but especially welcome submissions on this year's
conference themes:
* 3D Modelling (for example, CAD, animation, managing models and
animation)
* Human-Computer Interaction (for example, novel hardware and
software, psychology and paradigms)
* Image Processing (for example, compression, analysis and image-
based rendering)
Two types of submissions are invited:
* Fully refereed papers (deadline extended by one week to 23rd
November)
* Papers that describe work in progress, rather than completed
research.
In either case an abstract should be submitted immediately.

discount of 25% of the conference fee will be given for each accepted
paper. In addition the Ken Brodlie prize of Stlg50.00 and a bottle of
malt whisky will be awarded to the author(s) of the best paper on the
basis of both the written paper and its presentation.
