During the past decade the Department of Psychology at Carleton
University has responded to the needs of the thriving high technology
industry in the Ottawa area by establishing its Computer User Research
and Evaluation program at the forefront of teaching, research and
consulting in human-computer interaction. Subject to final budgetary
approval, we are planning to expand our program by hiring an assistant
professor with teaching and research interests in human-computer
interaction for a tenure-track position beginning July 1, l999.
Carleton is a provincial university with an enrollment of about 15,000,
located in Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada. The Ottawa region
