Yes; but I prefer using my newsreader to follow discussions.

Er, hidlydd e-bost? Is that appropriate?

What about "gweledydd newyddion" for "newsreader"?

'Fraid not. <sob>

I did a Dejanews search on +french +header in news.admin.hierarchies,
but nothing came up. What should I be looking for?
IIRC, RFC1036 doesn't make any mention of header translation.

News*readers* aren't important, the servers are what matter, and if they
don't find the headers they want, the messages will be dropped. In two
years plus of following news-related technical groups and lists, I've
seen no mention of translation of machine-recognisable terms, or software
to handle it.
I'm not even going to touch [server]; a straight translation isn't going
to work AFAICS.

Any pointers to relevant posts/webpage/whatever?

I'm trying to elucidate my original point which regarded netnews, and what
should and shouldn't be translated.
What I'm trying to explain is that you *could* send out an article like
this:
Pwnc: Swedish Jam Making in the Eighteenth Century
Dyddiad: Sun, 22 Nov 1998 15:20:21 GMT
Awdur: [log in to unmask]
Dyma fy neges i gyda "welsh headers".
-- but the first news server it saw would barf with "no subject/date/from/
whatever".
It's like people who include "Organisation:" headers, when the standard-
defined header name is "Organization:" -- it's a one-letter difference,
but one is compliant, the other isn't.
