I would suggest contacting the Oncology Section of the APTA. Also you can take
the position that if the patient is referred for physical therapy then the only
person who can decide if NSG can intervene is the PT. To my knowledge nurses can
not practice PT and if a physician refers a patient for PT it would be exceeding
the scope of practice for a nurse to treat the patient. Mastectomy today, CVA
and THR tomorrow??
