I'm not sure on this. I suppose part of it depends on what individuals
think 'being an academic' should entail. In addition, I do believe that a
certain level of 'restrictive structure' to fight against is necessary for
creativity (in every situation). Whether the restrictions in acadmia are
becoming too tight, as we become wound more tightly into the free market....
