a) Work experience
Essential: Research experience in sports science or human Physiology.
Desirable: Post doctoral research experience. Record of publications
and/or conference deliveries.
b) Education/Qualification:
Essential: BSc & PhD in sports science or human physiology or
closely-related area. Desirable: Teaching qualification.
c) Skills/Abilities:
Essential: Some experience of teaching/demonstrating in higher
education. Ability to teach introductory physiology in all areas and
to contribute to the development of sports science. Desirable:
Experience in cellular/molecular techniques and/or exercise
physiology. I. T. skills appropriate to the delivery of teaching.
d) Personal details:
Essential: Ability to contribute to and collaborate with existing
research within the department or develop the area or research related
to exercise/nutrition/diet. Good communication skills. Motivated and
enthusiastic. Commitment to the University's mission statement.
