There is so much information and discussion about Nudist that I was nearly
lulled into acepting that it was the package for qual data analysis for me
- until reading a small comparison between Nudist and Atlas/ti on this
site: http://www.microtimes.com/162/research.html, which really explains
the differences eg. (We found Atlas best for theory generation. It does not
assume a unified theory overall, as NUD*IST seems to with its one big tree
of nodes. You can
build small families of nodes and connect them only if you want to. In
analyzing the behavior of the customer and the clerk in the pet shop, we
defined the patterns of behavior of each into separate networks, and then
related them to find a sort of counterpoint in their strategies.) and now I
understand - but - I have a MAC - I bought it because I love MACs they are
so user friendly which is just what the writer of the article says about
Atlas/ti - This should mean that putting Atlas/ti and MAC together would be
a dream come true for any serious researcher - so - when oh when will
Atlas/ti be available for MAC users?
