Basically this is in two parts (1) a booklet outlining the publication. What it
contains and why it was written.
(2) The hypertext book comes complete with a browser for
viewing. The book itself is an edited version of Pigot's
Topography, his work on Wales and Kelly's The Channel Islands.
It is illustrated with more recent maps and illustrations.
Included are edited accounts of the counties, major towns and
cities (e.g. London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, etc) and
a selection of smaller towns such as Warrington, Canterbury and
Bradford in Wiltshire
The work can also be viewed in Netscape which allows for printing and
the export of small amounts of text to other documents.
There are approx. 100,000 words in the publications itself.
