I am currently restoring a pair of globes (celestial & terrestrial) which
are English C1800-1820, unfortunately there are large sections of the
surface damaged beyond repair.
I am, therefore seeking a source of facsimiles of the original gores
produced around that time.
If you can help me, or know of another source, I would be most grateful.
Yours Sincerely,
Michael
Marks.

A company called Greaves & Thomas, I think in Brentford, manufacture
replica globes. They may have some clues.
