The Department of European Languages, Literatures and Cultures at SUNY
Stony Brook is accepting applications for a tenure track position in
Italian American studies, to begin in August of 1999 at the rank of
assistant professor. Ph.D. in American or Italian studies, with proven
expertise in Italian American studies required. Specialization open, but
candidates should demonstrate commitment and ability to teaching and
research in ethnic studies, cultural studies, and/or gender studies.
Candidates must be willing to engage in outreach activities. Proficiency in
Italian desirable.
