Can anyone help with Jude Bennington's query?
I will pass on replies.

I am currently doing some research
for the King's Fund comparing a ward in a hospital which has just been
supplied with new profiling beds and comparing the costs with those of a
ward using the old King's Fund beds. I am trying to establish some
baselines to work from in order to calculate the cost-effectiveness of
replacing the beds but the hospital does not have audit reports for the
ward before it changed to the new beds. Do you know of any publications
or organisations which might be of use to me in trying to find out
information around this. I am looking at the general running costs of
the ward, costs incurred by nursing time spent on manoevring patients in
the old beds, work time lost due to nurses' injuries from lifting and
handling, cost of pressure sore treatment and patient recovery time.
Thank you very much for your help.
yours sincerely
