Lecturer in Social Interventions for Health (clinical or non-clinical)
Applications are invited for this challenging new post to help drive our
new agenda for research and postgraduate teaching. Our programme of work
focuses on theoretical concepts, models and methods for understanding the
social basis of health and social interventions to promote health. It
includes strategies for influencing and informing policy makers, public
health professionals and social and health agencies in developed,
developing and transitional countries.
Candidates are likely to have interests in public health sociology or
epidemiology, social health marketing and advocacy, international public
health, or the theory and practice of social interventions.
An honorary appointment with a health authority trust will be arranged for
a clinical appointee.
Non clinical lecturer scale A (£16,655 to £21,815) or scale B (£22,726 to
£29,048) plus London Allowance of £2,134. Clinical Lecturer (£22,040 to
£38,100) plus London Allowance of £1,505.
