I think it very unlikely that anyone would want to censor
Kunibert's contributions to econ-soc-devt .

If Kunibert simply hit the reply button
or similar his reply probably only went out to crystal. Perhaps
if the list address [log in to unmask] had been included
as a copy we would have all been able to read this reply
in September.
If anyone is unsure as to what has and has not been posted through
econ-soc-devt simply look at the archives available through
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/econ-soc-devt/
econ-soc-devt is not a moderated list - this means that postings
from members sent to the list address should get through automatically,
though email, being a store and forward technology, has never been 100%
reliable. However the main reasons for messages not getting through are
generally due to mis-typed addresses, or misunderstandings about how the
software works.
If a message doesn't appear in the archive after 24 hours
making sure you reload the web page, (rather than reusing an old copy
in browser cache) then it probably wasn't posted. I personally as
co-owner of econ-soc-devt (caretaker) would not be willing to do this
work if messages were moderated, as this would multiply the work
involved to a totally unacceptable extent. One reason why messages
might not get through is if a member has changed his or her email
address. In this situation the Mailbase program would behave as if a
posting is being attempted by someone who is not a member - most
lists including econ-soc-devt are set to restrict posting to
members. There is nothing however to prevent someone rejoining
using their new address, and listowners will generally prefer
people to add/remove themselves if at all possible as we tend to
be busy people.
Subscription and unsubscription is achieved through a one line
message sent to [log in to unmask] either :
join econ-soc-devt firstname lastname
or
leave econ-soc-devt
(Those joining should substitute their own first and last names).
Mailbase will then send instuctions for a confirmation message.
Posting to the list is achieved by sending the
contribution to
[log in to unmask]
Further details are available about the Mailbase program on
