RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP - TASK DEPENDENCY IN MULTIMODAL PERCEPTUAL
MODELLING
The Centre for Communication Interface Research at the University of
Edinburgh invites applications for a research studentship for a programme
of work to investigate the role of task in multimodal perceptual modelling.
The successful candidate will investigate issues of perceived audio and
video quality, overall satisfaction and task performance in the context of
an inventory of multimedia communication tasks. Results will contribute to
the development of a task-dependent model of multimedia transmission
performance. The work will be carried out in collaboration with
researchers at BT Laboratories.
We are looking for candidates with a good honours degree in a relevant area
and with a strong interest in Human Factors and Human-Computer Interaction.
Interested candidates can view our work at http://www.ccir.ed.ac.uk.
The stipend available for the successful candidate will be u8000.
