The third UK Java in the Computing Curriculum Conference
Will be held at South Bank University,
London on Monday 25th January 1999
Call for Participation
Deadline 12:00 noon Friday 4th January 1998
The morning session will consist of papers concerned with:
practical experience of using Java in any part of the
Computing curriculum.
technical developments in Java and their implications
for pedagogic usage.
position papers on the pedagogy of Java education.
The afternoon session will commence with tutorials concerned with:
introductory Java & its' pedagogy.
Java & networking.
Usability Engineering & Java.
Java Data Base Connectivity (JDBC)
(Other topics may be proposed).
The final session of the conference will consist of commercial
presentations.
Paper outlines, of no more than 2 pages, should be emailed to
Peter Chalk ([log in to unmask]).
Tutorial proposals, indicating a two hour topic schedule and a
potted biography of the presenter(s), should be emailed to
Fintan Culwin ([log in to unmask]).
Submissions should be in-line plain text or Rich Text Format (RTF)
MIME attachments.
The Organizers will pay transport costs (from UK point of entry
for non-UK presenters) and overnight hotel accommodation for one
presenter.
