PLEASE DON'T PRESS REPLY UNLESS YOU WANT TO DISCUSS -
For info contact QSR re the training, AQR re the conference.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In July '99, after the Association for Qualitative Research conference
in Melbourne, QSR will run a three-day workshop for people who know the
NUD*IST4 software and are wanting to train or help others. We've put the
two events together as several helpers or trainers have indicated an
interest in AQR.
The QSR training (13-15th July) is for any helpers and trainers whose
competence in N4 is already sufficient to allow them to help novices,
and who are wanting to help others. We're keen to give such training to
helpers at any level - you can be a full-on corporate trainer or just
the mug down the corridor who ends up helping colleagues in the
department in their "spare" time. The training will be *free* for such
people. It will also be available as a normal workshop for novices.
If you want to know more about it, mail [log in to unmask]
The conference (9-10 July with workshops 8th and 11th) has a theme of
"Issues of Rigo(u)r in Qualitative Analysis". It will have include
papers on qualitative computing, with Eben Weitzman as a plenary speaker
and presenter of a workshop. Other plenaries are Jan Morse and Sari
Biklen - the emphasis of the association is on cross disciplinary
qualitative research discussion. The first call for papers is out now,
to set the streams, (end of October) and final deadline end of November.
It's in a small heritage hotel in Melbourne.

be interested in the conference. Please post it on to any relevant
