The 8th Quasi-markets research seminae will be held at the University of
Bath on 6-7 January 1999. The theme will be 'Quasi-markets and New
Labour.' Abstracts of papers are invited on this theme.
Papers may consider issues such as
-evidence of quasi-markets under Labour
-lessons of quasi-markets under the Conservatives for Labour
-conceptual frameworks such as markets, hierarchies and networks
-new forms of competition and performance evaluation
Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be sent to me by 16 October,
with accepted papers due by 11 December.
Full fees (one night's B and B, two lunches, one evening meal, one wine
event, all teas/coffess, and full set of papers) will be in region of
£125. A limited number of reduced price bursaries will be available for
postgraduate students, those without institutional funds and for paper
discussants.
