I'm not aware of the other company, nor their product line,
but would like to provide a little background to APTA's
catalog of PT-Month products.
APTA produces logo products for public awareness
(surrounding October as PT Month in the USA) and to
generate non-dues revenue. These revenues allow APTA
to pursue its mission of support for the profession of
physical therapy and its members. Members and
non-members alike benefit from APTA's campaigns of
public awareness, practice enhancement (Guide to
Physical Therapist Practice), lobbying and
legislative/regulatory reform.
So while non-APTA product lines may be more extensive,
they are generally created by for-profit companies out for
one purpose, make money for their owners.
APTA (a non-profit organization) products hopefully serve a
loftier goal.
I encourage you to look to buy where you will get the most
for your money. And that isn't necessarily just the product
itself, but the purposes that the revenues support.
BTW, I admit to being a tad bit biased.

Howdy, folks.
A few weeks ago, our clinic received 2 catalogs full of PT
month goodies. One was the usual APTA catalog, and the
other was from a different company whose name I can't
recall. The second catalog had a much larger selection of
products. Unfortunately, we somehow lost that second
catalog. If anyone else received any other catalogs other
that the APTA one, I'd greatly appreciate it if I could get the
name/contact information of the company.
Many thanks in advance,
Doug Fisher, PTA
