ITALIAN TUTORSHIP
The Department of Modern European Languages at the University of
Plymouth is seeking to appoint a tutor in Italian for the academic year
1998-99. Candidates should possess an appropriate academic
qualification and preferably have recent experience of living in Italy.
Applications from native Italian speakers will be welcome.
The main features of the position are as follows:
- minimum of 10 teaching hours per week for two semesters
- teaching of the Italian language at a wide range of levels
- remuneration at 25.62 pounds per teaching hour to cover preparation,
delivery and assessment (including examinations) and the provision of
informal support to lecturing staff
- starting on 5 October 1998
DMEL is a lively academic department with a strong commitment to
practical language learning and applied research. The person appointed
may be offered opportunities to become involved, additionally, in
research projects and/or register for a research degree on a part-time
basis. The University of Plymouth operates the Secretariat of CERCLES,
and has extensive contacts in leading Language Centres throughout
Europe.
