Dear John and George,
I think that there is now also an English translation of the _racconti
tascabili_ available, but the electronic resources I briefly checked for
_Il pianeta azzurro_ (OCLC WorldCat, Melvyl, the British COPAC) did not
list any English (or other) translation of this work.
