Division of Informatics
Lectureship in Software Engineering (Reference 896579GU)
We invite applications for a lectureship in software engineering.
Informatics is the study of the structure, behaviour, and
interactions of both natural and artificial computational
systems. The new Division of Informatics at the University of
Edinburgh is currently seeking to expand its activity in the
area of software engineering by appointing a new lecturer.
The successful candidate for the lectureship will add to our existing
strengths in research and teaching, encourage the integration of their
own research with that of others and contribute to the development of
Informatics at Edinburgh.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates who have
experience of applying formal methods and who have relevant industrial
experience.
Salary will be on the lecturer scales: 16,366 - 21,436 or
exceptionally 22,332 - 28,545 per annum, with placement according to
age and experience. A permanent appointment may be available for
a suitably qualified candidate, otherwise appointment will be for five
years in the first instance.
