Danny - it would be useful to get some comparative data on "effect on society"
eg. life-years lost, porductivity lost etc. - are the asthma deaths the
chronically disabled anyway? Geography is important too - sheep-dropping
-induced asthma (& STD!) is probably more prevelant than car exhaust asthma in
rural Abergavenny! Seriously though we do see a high proprtion of RTA and
fall-from-height trauma and, as far as I'm aware, few asthma deaths (despite
the fact that just about everyone claims to have asthma) - geography needs to be
taken into account.
