Consumer Health Information - Access and Empowerment For All ?
A one day inaugural conference at the University of Central Lancashire
Wednesday 13th January 1999
The conference aims to start a process where all those interested in
helping to create a public well informed on the availability and quality
of services will meet regularly.
It will highlight and discuss the major issues arising from the
Government+s 1998 health reforms to improve public access to information
on the availability and performance of health services and on medical
practise.
There will be the opportunity to share up to date information on best
voluntary, health service and Department of Health practise and on
making such information available, including related government
initiatives by the D.T.I. (I.T. FOR ALL) and the Cabinet Office
(Government Direct).
Current learning materials and technology based resources offering the
public easy access to information will be demonstrated.
