Steve,
There are 2 hospitals in Mersey doing some form of rapid chest pain
assessment at the moment.
One is assaying troponin T levels 12 hours after pain onset, with other
various criteria (pain, ECG etc) to exclude those not to be sent home.
The other (along with a Manchester hospital) is doing continuous 12-lead ST
monitoring for 6 hours and CKMB mass.
Neither is doing acute exercise testing.
I can let you or other list members know the people involved, so you can
communicate directly, if you would like to mail me personally. Both are
part of ongoing audit / research projects.
I suspect in most hospitals, it won't be easy to 'queue-jump' into urgent
exercise testing slots.
