The last 2 sections we had were both done in A&E. I would tend to the view
that the team leader was probably wrong. ATLS teaches that if something is
seen that requires fixing then it should be fixed. Most commentators note
that the baby is sacrificed for the sake of Mum (and early) if she
haemorrhages.
So the obvious answer is to do the section in A&E while the maternal
assessment and resuscitation continues thus squaring a potentially nasty
circle.
