Does anyone have any experience of patient controlled sedation in the
Emergency department?
i.e. putting Propofol in a PCA pump and lertting the patient bolus
themselves into sedation. Theoretically it would appear to have advantages
over the IV use of midazolam/morphine but I would be interested to know if
anyone has tried or seen it used in the ED.
Thanks,
