Disability Studies Quarterly has had rocky times lately in terms of
production. We are almost on schedule and hope to be after the Fall 1998
issue is in the mail.
I am inviting people on this list to volunteer to edit a special issue
of DSQ. There is no pay involved. Just good ol' hard work. But it is fun
and rewarding. You can be very creative as long as it is related to
disability studies.
If you are interested, please send to me via email a topic, a paragraph
on that topic with possible authors (whom you would recruit), and a
paragraph on yourself. You do NOT have to be an academic. You must be able
to write reasonably well (because you will compose the opening article)
and do basic editing such as ensuring that the articles make sense.
I will reply with comments. You will receive specific guidelines if you
are invited to be a special (or guest) editor of one of the issues of DSQ.
