I know that in some European countries there is no restrictions concerning
the direct access to physiotherapy services except the puplic hospitals
which they require a medical referral. In some other countries there are
restrictions and in order to receive a physiotherapy treatment or service
in the private sector the patient and the private physiotherapist the must
have a medical referral. How this affect the free migration of
physiotherapist in the European union if a British private physiotherapist
who is free to practise in his country ,and does not need a referral from a
doctor to offer a physiotherapy service, if he wants to practise in another
European country he is restricted by the local legislation.
I expect to have an answer from somebody from the SLCP or the WCPT EUROPE
or anybody else who knows well this issue or suffered from such
restriction in the legislation of some countries.
Thank you all .
