The Scottish Cultural Resources access Network SCRAN is an innovative
Millennium project using multimedia and World Wide Web technology to make
the treasures in Scotland's museums, galleries, libraries, archives and
historic buildings widely available for education as part of the National
Grid for Learning. After less than two years, SCRAN already gives access
to thousands of images and hundreds of thousands of records, for schools
in Scotland and Web users throughout the world.
