The Italian Program at SUNY Stony Brook announces a course in Advanced
Italian Composition and Syntax. The course is available through the SUNY
Learning Network (SLN), and it is available to all students who have
completed at least the equivalency of five semesters of language
instruction in Italian:
ITL 412-32
– Syntax and Composition
An advanced course designed to acquaint students with the subtleties of
Italian grammar and style. Extensive practice in composition and in
translation from English to Italian. Analysis of Italian syntax.
Prerequisite: Equivalency of at least five semesters of Italian language
instructions
This three-credit course is specifically offered for students enrolled in a
college or university that does not offer Italian beyond the fifth and
sixth semester of language teaching. It is taught through the Internet.
Technical requirements are: a graphic browser (Netscape or Internet
Explorer, version 3 or 4), and a modem (28,800 kbs or higher recommended –
14,000 kbs will work).
