>Dear Louise--
>Have you already tried looking at the books that have been written on the
>influence of the Song of Songs (and the commentary tradition surrounding it)
>in medieval Christianity? There are at least two good and relatively
>recent ones: Ann Astells's *Song of Songs in the Middle Ages* (Cornell,
>1990) and E. Ann Matter's *Voice of My Beloved* (U Pennsylvania, 1990).
>Sherry Reames (English Dept., U. Wisconsin)
See also _Eros & Allegory: Medieval Exegesis of the Song of Songs_, by Denys
turner, Kalamazoo: cistercian Publications, 1995. I looked in this work and
Ann Matter's and didn't see anything on Wohunge, at least not in the index.
Sure seems like a lot of works lately on the Song of Songs!
