OMNI PROJECT MANAGER
An enthusiastic and ambitious individual is required to manage OMNI
(Organizing Medical Networked Information), the UK's premier gateway to
biomedical Internet resources. The person appointed will manage the
project team (4 full-time staff), be responsible for keeping the project
within budget and seek new income streams for the project by developing
OMNI's commercial potential. The Project Manager reports to JISC, which
through the Electronic Libraries Programme (eLib) provides OMNI's present
funding, and to the OMNI Steering Group; and administratively to the Director
of Library Services in the University of Nottingham.
Candidates must have both experience in Internet service provision, and
strong team working and organisational skills. Experience of the biomedical
community and of eLib will be significant advantages.
Salary will be within the range £23,691 - £27,985, depending upon
qualifications and experience. The post will be offered on a fixed term
contract for a period of 6 months: extension of this contract will depend
upon performance and the future funding of the project.
