What is meant by the term "webmaster" - or terms such as webmistress,
webwizrds, webweaver? A Unix system administator responsible for security
of a web server and configuring and tuning the web server? A policy maker
responsible for the University's offical pages? An information manager,
responsible for the content of official pages? A user who happens to be
running a personal web server?
The term webmaster and variations thereof can be misleading view. I
suggest exploring the possibilities of members of a web team - running a web
service is too big and difficult a task these days to be left to an
individual - which the term "webmaster" implies.
