PRESS RELEASE
FORUM FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF CONTINUING EDUCATION
(FACE)
Apologies for multiple postings
The Forum for the Advancement of Continuing Education (FACE) is holding
its annual conference at the attractive site of Newton Rigg, in the Lake
District in July, and participants are welcome to bring their families.
'We feel that normal conference arrangements tend to exclude partners and
families and so, in the spirit of Lifelong Learning, we are trying to do
something about that' said new FACE Chair Malcom Barry, 'and the Lake
District offers much for visitors to enjoy in the summer'.
The conference will debate topics such as the links between continuing
education and employability and the skills needed for employability and
will feature headline speakers and workshop/seminar sessions. Inevitably,
there will also be consideration of The Learning Age and the range of
government policy on Post Compulsory Education.
