Mark,
Communicating via e-mail is great. You may find some sites in different
countries. I work in a small hospital in Southern CA with mostly
Cardiopulmonary patients. I have a DPT student on a 4 month rotation now who
has had Cardiopulm including lots of work in ICU. Most facilities around
here seem pretty willing to take students.
