Dear listmembers,
Has anyone oute there ever heard about the Tomatis-method?
It is is not a physical therapy method, but as far as I have been told
it
could support physical therapy. In plain words - but I may be corrected
-
people who undergo the "listening training " listen to music from
Mozart for two hours, which has no upper formants, or they are in the
background only.
After 15 sessions the person is said to be better able to concentrate,
children with severe handicaps would start to move better, or athletes
are
supposed to have better control of their body.
Are there any articles written about that method that are not from the
international Tomatis-Institute itself?
The reason why I am asking is that I have been asked to cooperate with
one
institute in Austria, that means to send people for whom I think this
listening training could improve their general abilities.
