response to this competeition as on occassion these funds are not awarded.

Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association

The research committee of the NDTA is pleased to announce the availability
of clinical research grant awards. These awards are provided to NDTA
members who investigate the effectiveness of neurodevelopmental treatment
with pediatric and/or adult populations. The research priorities for the
1998 awards include studies investigating (the):
1. Effects of specific neurodevelopmental handling techniques or
positioning/orthotic principles on functional outcomes.
2. Effects of neurodevelopmental treatment compared to other treatment
approaches on specific functional outcome measures in defined clinical
populations.
3. Theoretical base of neurodevelopmental treatment.
4. Optimal service delivery system(s) for the neurodevelopmental approach.
5. Appropriate assessment strategies for the measurement of
neurodevelopmental treatment outcomes.
* Pilot studies which will be used to "seed" a major grant application will
be top priority.
* Multiple clinical sites and interdisciplinary projects are encouraged.
All projects must result in a final product that includes a journal
article.
The NDTA has allotted $5000 for allocation to such projects but will not
pay indirect, overhead, or salary reimbursement costs. Send request for a
