Apologies for cross posting
***************************
In a recent survey of academic staff at six Scottish universities, the
CATRIONA II e-Lib funded project found that a very high proportion
(83-97%) of staff were involved in creating electronic teaching and/or
research material. Although these resources were generally considered to
be of potential value beyond the creator's institution, less than one
third of the material was accessible across a network.
The surveys further investigated a number of issues relating to
facilitating wider access to electronic teaching and research resources.
These issues included computer formats, computing and networking
facilities, incentives and rewards, and copyright ownership.
