Yvonne,
by all means yes! James Saslow wrote an excellent book in 1996:
"The Medici Wedding of 1589. Florentine Festivals as Theatrum Mundi" Yale
UP--won the Renaissance Soc. of America book prize the following year.
Needless to say, beside being an excellent study in + of itself, it
provides a vast bibliography. Buon lavoro!
