Internet Archaeology: Assistant Editor
Internet Archaeology (http://intarch.ac.uk) is one of the most
successful e-journal projects supported by the Electronic Libraries
programme (eLib), with three completed volumes of peer-reviewed
multi-media papers and over 6000 registered users. Due to the
departure of a member of staff we now have a vacancy for an Assistant
Editor to join our editorial team. The successful candidate will be
a member of staff of the Department of Archaeology, University of
York, on the Research Assistant Scale IB, at a starting salary of
œ15,159-16,927 per annum, according to age and experience. The post
will be for 16 months in the first instance, commencing April 1998.
Candidates should be archaeologists with HTML experience. A good
understanding of, and commitment to, new forms of publication is
essential. Editing experience and design skills would be an
advantage. The ability to work in a team and to publication schedules
