I disagree (again! - sorry to be so disagreeable this morning,
though a trip to the beach before work was good for the soul).
For DC-Simple I think there are few rules. Each element
will contain a text string, which can then be as explicit
semantically as text can be. Automatic processing of this
will be patchy, as automatic processing systems will normally
need a more controlled syntax, but that is a problem for
DC-Complex, and in many cases will be domain or community
specific, as you noted.
I think Mary Larsgaard will comment on the latter.
