% I just noticed that the W3C have recommended HTML 4.0 as of 18 December:
%
% http://w3c.org/Press/HTML4-REC
%
% So we can now all* start throwing LANG and SCHEME attributes into our
% <META> tags with reckless abandon!
%
% However, this prompts a question; is there any significance in the
% ordering of the attributes? In other words, is:
%
% <META NAME=DC.Description LANG="en" CONTENT="Blah blah blah">
%
% The same as
%
% <META NAME=DC.Description CONTENT="Blah blah blah" LANG="en">
>From an SGML stand-point there is no difference. Most software
agrees that there is no difference, and some editors will re-order
the attributes assuming this. So if any given piece of software
thinks there is a difference, I'd call that a bug.
