Many thanks to all those who replied to this message  a few weeks ago. I did
the presentation at the Mailbase workshop yesterday  ---  acknowledging all
my sources---- and it  seemed to be well received.  For those with time to
spare,   here's something my son forwarded to me-- original source unknown.
