Dear colleagues,
The bibliography of research in the Language Arts published in Research of
the Teaching, a journal of the NCTE and international well known, changend
the American only policy. That implies that the editors would like to
extend the bibliogoraphy to European journals, books, chapters and
dissertations, even if they are not written in English (although they
prefer English language).
For the time being, they asked me to act as a European editor of the
bibliography. That's why I am inviting you to send me important research
contributions from your country, in international of national books and
journals, wriiten in English or the language of your country.
If you would contribute, than send me by email a provisory instance for the
bibliography along the rules written below, and send me by regular mail a
paper copy of the article, the chapter, the dissertation. Alle instances
should be written in English.
Format
1. Note the category in which your contribution fits. For instance
Assessment
Teaching and Learning of Literature;
Reading,
Writing
Discourse processes
Technology and Literacy,
Bi-lingual and Foregin Language Education,
Professional Development.
Research Methodology
2. Write a very short abstact:
Sentence 1: Explores/Investigates/Examines/Studies (or similar term) [The
research problem]
Sentence 2: Uses [the research method]
Sentence 3: Finds that [the results]
Sentence 4: Argues/Concludes that [the overall inference from the study]
3. Add perfect and complete bibliographical data (where the instance can be
found)
4. Add in which language the piece is written, and in which language(s)
abstracts of the piece are provided in the book/chapter/article.
Please don't hesitate to write me about unclear instructions, I truly this
initiative can contribute to a real internationalisation (that is:
reciprocal internationalisation) of research in Language Arts in
different Mother Tongues.
May I, at last ask you to pay attention to the Second International
Conference ot the IAIMTE in 1999? See the website address given below,
all the best,
