There are a few places left on the Institutional Web Management Workshop
which will be held at Newcastle University on 15-17 September. The
remaining places will be made available to people outside the UK Higher
Education community, although, of course, UK HE staff may still book.
The workshop programme has now been finalised. There will be 5 parallel
half day sessions given on:
o Web Design
o Metadata
o Web Server Management
o Web Tools
o Management
These sessions will involve a mixture of presentations, discussions, group
exercises and hands-on sessions.

Speakers will cover a variety of web technologies, including XML and
database integration.
Participants will receive a workshop pack which will include the speakers
notes.
Cost of the workshop is 120 (UK HE staff) or 150 (other non-profit-making
organisation). This covers attendance at the workshop, workshop materials
and lunches and evening meals. It does *not* cover accommodation.
Participants should book their own accommodation. A list of local hotels
and guests houses is provided.
