I'm inclined to think that institutions won't do anything as helpful as putting
up a list of policies unless prompted to do so, and even then, probably not
without the expectation of a carrot of some kind from the process.
Personally, I would be more inclined to spend 5 minutes filling out an online
questionnaire than I would be to approach The Powers That Be with a list of
questions of my own choosing which may or may not bring forth useful
information.
Once we've got a reasonable body of data, we would have a basis on which to
proceed to national recommendations.
