Here is how I do it:
Use the "results" button of SPM96. Choose SPM{z} from the menu which pops
out when you press "results". After you enter your thresholds, you will
have a choice of 5 functions, all represented by buttons. One of them is
"Write". Pressing it will prompt "output file" box to appear in the SPM
main dialog box. Enter the name of the file in the box, and it will be
saved as an image, in the same directory where SPMt.mat file is.
After that, I use MEDx (an image processing package from Sensor Systems)
to open the MRI (in T&T space) and the image of Z-scores saved by SPM.
Then, I use Colorwash function to fuse the Z-score image with the MRI. I
use the MRI provided by the SPM, but you can use your own provided it has
been transformed in T&T space.
I tried to solve this problem by using SPM alone, but I was unsuccessful.
Along with the "write" button produced by invoking "Results", there are
also "slices" and "sections". Pressing "slices" results in a display of 3
transaxial MRI slices with the Z-score maps on top, and pressing
"sections" results in displaying the central slices with Z-scores in
saggital, coronal, and axial orientation. As you can see, this is not that
helpful.
If you find another way to solve this problem, please let me know.
